About me
Hi my name is Shaun Robert Smith and I run a production company called Smudge Film Productions UK. I trained as a special effects artist before turning to directing. In 2004 our short film 'This Place' won Best Film at the Leeds International Film Festival. In 2007 we produced a short film called 'The Soldier' for the 2 days later film festival, which we went on to win Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Edit and nominated for Best Sound. This led on to 'The Soldier' earning a place at the London Short Film Festival where we were nominated for 'The Dead by Dawn' award.
The Soldier can be viewed on here, currently I am working on a feature length script of 'The Soldier'.
The Soldier was produced in 46 hours and on a budget of £500.
