About me

Vicki Psarias is a writer/director. Her latest short film Broken, an immigrant story set in the 60's starring Peter Polycarpou and Michelle Collins recently won the Channel 4 4Talent Award for Best Writer/Director. The film was an awarded finalist at the Kodak Awards 2007 for Best Short Film and Cinematography.

Her MA graduation film from Goldsmiths' University of London, Rifts tells the story of two warring kebab shop owners and won several awards at international film festivals including Best Screenplay at the Portobello Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Euromedcafe International Short Film Competition in 2004.

Vicki is currently writing a feature film inspired on her shorts whilst freelancing. She also edits The Film and Festival Magazine which can be found in Borders across the country as well as in specialist shops in Europe and Taiwan.

Vicki has also recently presented a short filmmaking masterclass for BBC2 and was on the jury of the BBC Film Festival.

I also edit The Film and Festivals Magazine available across 42 Borders in the UK, Europe and Taiwan.
Up and Coming:: My short film Broken will be screening at the Leeds Film Festival and San Luis Cine Film Festival in Argentina.
I am presenting a filmmaking masterclass programme for BBC2 that airs on December the 7th. I am also a judge with director Paul Andrew Williams at the BBC Film Festival.
A feature on my work and review of my latest film Broken will be appearing in the Channel 4 Magazine 4Ten soon.
